Built on an 8×10 unit field at 26° — the same angle as the wordmark's V. Every vertex lands on a grid intersection, so the mark can be cut, routed, extruded or embroidered without redrawing.
The bolt's axis, the V's inner angle and the italic on the wayfinding arrows are all 26°. One angle holds the system together.
Simple enough that a signage contractor gets it right without a manual on site.
Tested at RFID-card size. Below that the seven vertices merge, so the wordmark is used alone.
The mark sits on void, volt or white. If a photo is needed, it gets a solid plate — not a scrim.
Horizontal for screens and print, stacked for pylon signage, mark-only for hardware and app icons, inverted for the volt estate.
Volt only ever means "power is flowing." If a surface is not communicating charge, it does not get volt. That single rule is what keeps the colour loud after four years.
If a number comes from a sensor — kilowatts, minutes, bay number, price — it is set in mono. Humans get the grotesque. The split is absolute and it makes the interface readable at a glance.
The charge-state language is identical across the unit display, the app, the RFID card and the forecourt totem. A driver learns it once.
