The monogram is drawn on a seven-unit field, and never redrawn by eye.
Two counter-rotating arcs meet on the vertical axis. The stroke weight is one unit; the clearspace is two. Every reproduction descends from this single geometry.
One geometry, two arcs
The S is never a typeset letter. It is a drawn form with an open aperture, so it survives a 4mm foil deboss on a bottle collar.
Clearspace is two units
Measured from the outer arc, on all four sides. Nothing — rule, image, edge or type — enters that field.
Minimum size 9mm
Below 9mm the counter closes in print. At those sizes the wordmark replaces the monogram entirely.
Never outlined, never tinted
Solid ink, solid bone, or a single foil. No gradients, no drop shadow, no rotation off the vertical axis.
Four permitted arrangements. No fifth.
Primary for print and packaging, stacked where width is scarce, monogram for seals and hardware, reversed for the night estate.
Bone carries the house. Everything else is an accent used once.
Bone and ink do ninety per cent of the work. Oxblood, olive and gold appear one at a time — never two accents in a single composition. The chips below are the physical samples: cotton stock, dyed cloth, calf leather, foil.
A serif that breathes, a mono that stays out of the way.
Display and editorial voice sit in the serif. Every functional label — sizes, batch numbers, provenance — is set in mono at 10px and 2.2px tracking.

Blind deboss on 600gsm cotton, gold foil on the letterhead, brushed brass at the collar and on the door. Nothing is printed in more than two passes.
